Dragons really spark the imagination of middle-grade readers!
Their mythical, magical qualities make them fascinating and fun, and even when they’re depicted as fierce, they’re often less scary than other characters in more realistic genres.
Plus, dragon stories usually have great messages about friendship and courage woven in, which is why I chose The Dragon with a Chocolate Heart and Dealing with Dragons.
Oh, and just a heads-up—while Eragon is also a movie, it takes quite a different path from the book which may frustrate your readers.
